Diana L. Weaver of West Chester
Diana L. Weaver, 70, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 as the result of an auto accident. She was the widow of the late John H. Weaver, Sr. who passed away in 2006. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Esther Weller Cordivano Leasure and Edward J. Cordivano, Sr. Diana was a 1961 graduate of the Kennett Square High School. She worked in bank management, served as the Executive Director of Chester County and Phoenixville Area Chamber of Commerce as well as private industry. Her most beloved job was being “Mom Mom” to her two grandsons and also included being a nanny for her two great- nephews. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kennett Square. Diana was a dedicated life time volunteer serving on the Board of Directors of the United Cerebral Palsy Assoc. of Chester County for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening and was a published poet. Diana’s life was centered here in Chester County spending time with family and friends. Diana is survived by her three children, Carla J. Weaver of Newark, Del., John H. Weaver, Jr. of Maytown, Pa. and David L. Weaver of West Chester; two grandchildren, John H. Weaver III and David James Weaver; siblings, Marie Voytilla, wife of James, of Landenberg, Patricia Dunn, wife of Fred, of Kemblesville, Charles Cordivano of Dover, Del., Elizabeth Williamson, wife of Gary, of Ocala, Fla., and Vincent Cordivano, husband of Debra, of Manassas, Va. She was predeceased by her brother Edward J. Cordivano Jr. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13th at the First Baptist Church of Kennett Square, 415 West State St., Kennett Square, PA 19348. The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diana’s memory to either “Cerebral Palsy Association” 749 Springdale Drive, Exton, PA 19341; or to the “The Marfan Foundation”, 22 Manhasset Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050.
